Dr. Moore’s Casting Video

The casting in this case is not the kind done in Hollywood, but the method of creating a plaster cast of the foot for the construction of custom-engineered foot orthotics. Dr. Robert J. Moore, of Moore Foot & Ankle Specialists, Houston, Texas, demonstrates his technique using Image Orthopedic Lab orthotics.

Wounded Warriors Project

Dana Point, CA, October 2009. St. Edwards the Confessor Catholic Church, Image Orthopedic Lab and Yaleet Inc., distributors of Naot footwear have teamed up to donate 100 pairs of quality shoes to the Wounded Warriors Project, a local Camp Pendleton charity.

Image Orthopedic Lab has provided quality footwear since its beginning in 2005. Both Image Orthopedic Lab and St. Edwards the Confessor are active members of the community, participating in many community functions. Both Teams, along with Yaleet Inc., feel quite strongly that they should contribute back to their community and to individuals who are less fortunate. On or about October 15, Image Orthopedic Lab, along with Yaleet will donate approximately 100 pairs of Naot shoes and sandals to the Wounded Warriors Project, an organization that provides products and services for returning, wounded vets and their families.

On September 12, 2008 Image Orthopedic Lab donated 100+ pair of diabetic shoes to GRuB in Olympia, WA for their fund raising auction. GRuB builds sustainable gardens for public harvesting.

Naot footwear is manufactured in Israel and is one of the leading comfort footwear brands in the market. Since 1991, Yaleet Inc. and Naot have been donating shoes to people in need with the help of their generous retailers. Woman’s shelters, hurricane victims, homeless shelters, and drug rehabilitation facilities are an example of the types of charities that have benefited from this program. In addition, each year Yaleet Inc. makes generous contributions to the fight against breast cancer.

Wounded Warriors Project began when several individuals took small, inspired actions to help others in need. One night while watching the evening news, a group of veterans and brothers were moved by the difficult stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They realized then and there that something needed to be done for these brave individuals beyond the brass bands and ticker tape parades.

The resulting objective was to provide tangible support for the severely wounded and help them on the road to healing, both physically and mentally. What had been initially viewed as a small contribution (compared with what the warriors had sacrificed while serving our country) has become WWP’s signature program: "WWP backpacks delivered bedside to wounded warriors." WWP is a non-profit organization.
